I’m finally officially putting into writing my “To Read” list. This is both for accountability as well as for me to simply keep track of it all! Input on the current list and suggestions for additions are always welcome!

Put «Neverwhere» at the top of your Gaiman list, or at most at the top of your reading list. It’s fantastic!! «Anansi Boys» is good (though not quite as good as «American Gods» in the opinion of my roommate and I}, but «Neverwhere» is just incredible in terms of a well-crafted story. Also, if you haven’t already, check out Alan Moore’s «Watchmen». I just finished it and couldn’t put it down the entire time I was reading it. I’m not a comic book guy, but this was like reading a “legit” novel.
Have you considered putting Jeff Lindsay’s “Darkly Dreaming Dexter” on the list. The third season of the Showtime series is coming this week and I can’t wait!!
One more: Have you read Mikhail Bulgakov’s “The Master and Margarita”? The Diana Burgin/Katherine O’Connor translation is probably the best, unless of course you’re fluent in Russian.
You, sir, have clearly not been here in a while! I am a strong advocate of Watchmen and have been pushing both the book and the upcoming movie here on the site for a while! :-) It’s one of the most terrific reads in recent years. Check it out: http://knightowl73.wordpress.com/tag/watchmen/
Thanks for the other suggestions. I will check them out!
