Creativity with few objectives or constraints

New Blog

It was time to make the change.

Obviously my blogging has been lapsing lately (okay, for a year or more now), and I thought maybe I’d try a change of scenery as a way to jumpstart it. Xanga was a great platform to start with, but more and more I was finding that I’d like more functionality, and having played around with WordPress at work, I decided to move over here.

Don’t worry, my Xanga site isn’t going away. All my old posts will still hang out there (for now, anyway) in case I wrote something really witty once upon a time that you’d like to go check out. Right now, though, WordPress feels a lot more comfortable, and while it’ll likely take me some time to get things exactly how I like them, and get the hang of managing all the functionality, I’m already feeling a bit more creative here. I’ve already got several ideas of posts I’d like to make, so we’ll see what happens.

If you followed me here from Xanga (or Facebook, or MySpace, or wherever), I’m glad you did, and I hope you’ll take the time to leave a comment and say “Hi.” Unlike Xanga, or tons of other places, you don’t have to be registered with WordPress to do that! So let me know what you think, update (or add to) your bookmarks and RSS feeds, and check back often.

Thanks!

  2. Aaron… yes, I am amongst those who has followed you here. It’s quite easy, all I have to do is enter the feed into Google Reader and it shows me updates! I’ve enjoyed reading your Xanga these few years and look forward to reading more of your thoughts here on WordPress.

  3. Yeah, Google Reader is very, very cool. I have dozens of blogs and feeds that it organizes for me every day…it’s pretty excellent.

  4. Very nice…best of luck with the change-over.

I have noticed after my switch that unless I also update my Xanga, people don’t check my other blog.
I also have a distinct lack of comments, but then again…it was like that on xanga too :P I will never understand how over 70 people can read my blog everyday without commenting…oh the horror!

Anyway…nice work on the re-vamp. Glad you are feeling creative :)
